Career Counseling

Career counselors are available to assist you individually with your career exploration. We utilize a number of resources to guide you through this process. Our professional career counselors are Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) with master’s degrees in counseling.  We also utilize interns in the Master of Counseling program who are supervised by our counselors.

Confidentiality is very important in our counseling and your information will not be shared with anyone without your prior consent. Call (208) 282-2380 to schedule an appointment with one of our career counselors.

What will my career counseling appointment look like?

In a career counseling session, you can expect a structured exploration of your professional interests, skills, and goals. A counselor will typically help you:
  • Assess your professional interests, values, and goals
  • Explore your strengths and areas for improvement
  • Identify suitable career options
  • Guide you on educational paths or training opportunities
  • Provide support and feedback on your resume and interviewing skills
  • Assist in navigating job searches
  • Empower you to make informed career decisions
Remember, career exploration is a process that can often require multiple sessions. You are free (and often encouraged) to make multiple appointments to get you on the best path forward.
